17.5 From the tetralogy to a research program
The preceding books supplied categories for AGI, LINCS declarations and comparison maps, and DIAL’s infinitesimal mechanism repair. ORACLE supplies the missing developmental problem: how an agent could discover the categorical and tangent structure that those frameworks require. The four projects therefore form a loop rather than a sequence. Core priors constrain identification; identification constructs a LINCS world; LINCS exposes typed defects; DIAL proposes infinitesimal repairs; successful repairs enter the compositional storehouse and alter what can be identified next.
The intended research object is not another optimizer. It is an agent whose knowledge is a growing category of predictive quotients, universal witnesses, repair certificates, and transport laws. Its success is visible when a structure discovered for one purpose becomes the missing lemma, interface, or invariant in a later world.
