14.7 A three-axis stability doctrine

For later transport it is useful to record stability by a triple

\[ (\text{base convergence},\ \text{tangent stability}, \text{repair coherence}). \]

The first says that the learned state settles; the second says its sensitivity does not explode; the third says successive repair certificates compose in the admitted homotopy class. Two algorithms with identical regret can differ on either of the last two axes. This is why persistence cannot be inferred from scalar performance alone.
