16.2.1 Running example: transporting a collider theory

Take environments to be collider contexts that vary by detector, center-of-mass energy, or accessible channel. A structural package contains the generating theory, its response semantics, calibrated nuisance structure, and the observational quotient on which it has been tested. Transport to a new context is licensed when restriction or change of context commutes with the response construction up to the declared comparison and preserves settled symmetry and conservation obligations. Reusing numerical parameters alone is not yet structural transport.

This example also separates a coverage defect from a semantic defect. A new energy regime may expose probes outside the old package without contradicting it; a previously certified relation that fails on an overlapping probe is a semantic defect. The former requests extension. The latter enters the repair ladder of Section 14.2.1.
