10.10 OPTIC: creative skill optimization
OPTIC—Optimizing Programs Through Infinitesimal Creativity—is developed in Chapter 12. Its maintained artifact is an executable typed skill program together with the workflow sketch in which that program is meaningful. LASKO supplies the local Lie-algebroid geometry, and DIAL-SkillOpt supplies a versioned training discipline. OPTIC adds the explicit mandate to construct a new skill, interface, macro, factorization, or workflow rule when a registered expressivity test rules out the relevant repairs inside the current skill theory.
At the proposed theoretical layer, the primitive infinitesimal structure is an involution algebroid internal to a tangent category rather than only a realized vector-field bracket. Current paired-execution experiments expose a section-level computational shadow of its coherence; they do not establish the internal construction. Their mixed witness tests interaction between skill optimization and workflow accommodation, supplying initial mechanism evidence while exposing the limits of monolithic skill editing.
