4.9 Scope and experimental consequences

. The LASKO construction models controlled creative exploration, not creativity in its entirety. It does not claim that every concept is a script edit, that every useful jump integrates a local vector field, or that a large bracket is evidence of scientific truth.

The proposal nevertheless makes several claims testable. One can compare flat prompt optimization with state-dependent skill availability; bracket- screened validation with random validation; artifact-only logging with trace-sensitive logging; and fixed-script exploration with controlled meta-level revision. The AGENTIC testbeds later in the book provide different certificates for these comparisons.

Most importantly, DIAL-SkillOpt turns this construction into an explicit training framework while preserving an optimization landscape that respects the book’s central distinction. Infinitesimal geometry organizes local exploration. Markdown makes the policy inspectable and revisable. A finite theory extension remains an explicit creative proposal whose value is decided only by independent admission. Chapter 5 next defines the algebraic theory and model semantics that such a proposal is intended to construct. Chapter 12 later turns these ingredients into OPTIC, an integrated architecture for creative skill construction, and reports its initial mechanism evidence.
